Zagrebački bend Moon Unit izdao je svoj prvi album “Differences in Language and Lifestyle”. Album je jako dobro prihvaćen u stranim medijima i portalima.
Šesteročlani prog bend iz Zagreba, posvećen neobaveznom eksperimentiranju s glazbom, što rezultira raznolikim ali zabavnim i konzistentnim materijalom koji lakoćom kombinira prog metal, old school hip hop, nu metal, 8bit glazbu i mnoge druge utjecaje.
Od početka djelovanja izdali su dva EP-a (“…Of Cardboard Towns And Tiny Screams…” (2015) te “Shrimp Cocktails” (2017)), a ovo ljeto izdali su prvi album “Differences in Language and Lifestyle” koji je popraćen dobrim recenzijama u stranom glazbenom tisku.
Veliki gušteri, reggae teroristi, neočekivani i nepotrebni zapleti i nefokusirani glazbeni entuzijazam!
DIFFERENCES IN LANGUAGE AND LIFESTYLE
Debitantski album kroz 11 pjesama putuje kroz bezbroj glazbenih utjecaja koji su obilježili članove benda. Žestoki riffovi i solaže prog metala, raznolike synth teksture svih boja i oblika, fascinacija brojnim oblicima hip hopa, te sjajni vokali slažu se u zabavnu i originalnu cjelinu.
Opisan kao kombinacija Real Thing ere Faith No More-a kombiniran sa Devinom Townsendom, Dream Theaterom, sa prilogom nu metala, hip hopa i 8bitne glazbe, “Differences in Language and Lifestyle” je pun zabavnih glazbenih iznenađenja.
“Drawing on both the sublime lyrical idiocies and impressive technical abilities of artists like Devin Townsend, Faith No More and Arcturus, these Croatians cut a devastating figure of prog rock to come.” Prog Magazine
“Now for some very different prog. This quintet of Croatians sounds like a mixture of Haken’s love of the 80’s, Devin Townsend’s theatrical styling, and Faith No More’s genre bending. This is a fun, upbeat romp of an album.” Metal Injection
“The band brings a rush of adrenaline with precise, technical abilities that show they are surely a force to reckon with.” New Noise Magazine
“Mixing influences that range from the familiar to the unfamiliar, the tongue-in- cheekiness pokes through as they promise the chaos and confusion of prog rock and metal with an assortment of mammals, delivery vans and odd shaped vegetables.” Powerplay Rock & Metal Magazine
“Blending the best of Faith No More, Devin Townsend, Rage Against the Machine, A Tribe Called Quest, SNES soundtracks, imaginary cartoon intros and endless reruns of Star Trek: Voyager, Croatian prog rockers Moon Unit‘s debut album Differences in language and Lifestyle is one of the wildest albums you’ll hear all year.” Heavy Blog is Heavy
“Moon Unit definitely keeps you on your toes and has the chops to show they’re the real deal.” Metal Epidemic
